A 1930s oak striking mantel clock from an Ipswich supplier (N. Barratt), but made by Garrard.

A 1950s mantel clock manufactured by Elliott and supplied by Croydon, the well-known Ipswich jewellers.

Hedge and Banister, Colchester. Colchester was a major centre for clockmaking in the 18th 
and early 19th centuries. This movement is a late example 
from the workshop of Nathaniel Hedge and Joseph Banister, 
and dates from around 1810.
