Unlike the clocks, only a few of the watches have a local connection. It is a collection representing a range of techniques and styles from the 18th, 19th and 2th centuries.

Quarter repeating pocket watch movement.
Repeating watches were always expensive and uncommon, and this 18th century watch is a particularly rare example. The verge watch movement has solid silver engraved balance cock and a diamond endstone. Pressing a lever causes it to strike the hour and quarters. 
The dial carries the name  John Ra˙ner.
